develops and produces Emmy-winning original programs and hit U.S. adaptations of successful global formats, ranging from Dancing with the Stars, Weakest Link and The 1% Club to scripted comedies Ghosts, Call Me Kat and Welcome to Flatch.
Dancing with the Stars is the hit series co-hosted by Alfonso Ribeiro and Julianne Hough in which celebrities are paired with trained ballroom dancers to compete in themed choreographed dance routines that are judged by a panel of renowned ballroom experts, including Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli and Derek Hough. The show is produced in front of a live audience by BBC Studios Los Angeles Productions.
Inspired by the BBC hit comedy series Ghosts, a young couple inherits a country estate, only to find it’s falling apart and inhabited by the spirits of the previous residents. Rose McIver and Utkarsh Ambudkar star as Samantha and Jay, who throw caution to the wind and try to convert the rundown property into a B&B. The ghosts are an eclectic group that includes a saucy Prohibition-era lounge singer, a pompous 1700’s Militiaman, a ‘60s hippie, an overly upbeat scout troop leader, a Viking explorer, a slick finance bro, a witty and sarcastic Native from the 1500’s, and a society woman and wife of a robber baron who is Samantha’s ancestor.
The fastest and fiercest game show on TV, Weakest Link hosted by Jane Lynch offers a fresh twist on the global phenomenon and quiz show format distributed by BBC Studios for the past two decades. Contestants compete across multiple rounds, voting out fellow players they consider to be the “Weakest Links” in the chain, with the host uttering the iconic phrase that has become a part of pop culture, “You are the Weakest Link. Goodbye.”
